I CAN'T PREDICT THE FUTURE OF A PAST I NEVER LIVED
7/22/2005 Brown Bag Contemporary for Photo San Francisco
Sound Design by Joeseph Bishara
From a dusty dwelling of a forgotten past
Like the earth turning
We spin like a storm of dust.
Dunes filled with grains of sand
Time Churning
Further reaching
We glide across a sunny desert to the sea at night
We seek safe shelter of light.
Like life contained in a bottle
Resting against ruins
Topped with a feather of great greed
We must breathe
To the great farther onward
To the story untold
Told unfold
Tides fallen sideways
We wait
Time awaits
We turn
Time is just a footstep away…
Tiffany Trenda created a video projection of a constantly changing stain glass window. She grabbed apples out of a birdcage and bit into them. Then she spit out red feathers. The performance was captured with a camera and projected back onto an old antique book. This artwork remarks on how history can be subjective.
