J Williams Fine Art celebrates its one-year anniversary with a group exhibition bringing together an international roster of artists working across contemporary painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. Featured in the exhibition is Tiffany Trenda, presenting new work from her ongoing series Soft Interfaces in her first exhibition with the gallery.
In Soft Interfaces, Trenda examines the interaction between artificial intelligence and the human body through soft, tactile materials that resist easy legibility. The works explore how AI perceives the body when it is obscured, layered, or overwhelmed by material presence—questioning the limits of machine vision when confronted with texture, folds, and organic irregularities. Here, the “interface” operates on multiple levels: as a point of contact between the digital and the physical, and as the body itself, understood as a site of sensation, vulnerability, and touch.
Participating artists include: Reinhard Goerner, Lauren Williams, Hamilton Aguiar, Serena Dugan, Elisabeth Heidinga, Dennis Lee Mitchell, Paulina Cerda, Austin Fields, Jorge Luis Santos, Carlos Villabon, Hunt Rettig, Tiffany Trenda, Erin Vincent, and Daniel Mirchev.
