Tiffany Trenda Featured in The Art of Now: Pushing Boundaries

  • Union Gallery 2323 Broadway #201 San Diego, California (map)

Tiffany Trenda is featured in The Art of Now: Pushing Boundaries, a juried exhibition presented by the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild and juried by Max Presneill, Director of the Torrance Art Museum. The exhibition explores artwork at the edge of and beyond traditional artistic practice, bringing together artists whose work expands the possibilities of contemporary art. Through an open-ended dialogue between artists, artworks, and audiences, The Art of Now considers how contemporary artists define and respond to the cultural, technological, and social realities of the present moment.

Included in the exhibition is Trenda's Beyond Performance Series: Future Female, a framed archival digital print drawn from the artist's ongoing exploration of her 25-year performance archive through the lens of artificial intelligence. The work investigates how machine vision reinterprets the body, transforming performance documentation into speculative new forms that blur the boundaries between memory, identity, and technological mediation. As part of Trenda's broader inquiry into embodiment and emerging technologies, Future Female reflects on the shifting relationship between human experience and computational systems.

The Art of Now: Pushing Boundaries will be on view June 5–28, 2026, at Union Hall Gallery, 2323 Broadway #201, San Diego, California. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, June 6, from 5–9 PM.
